QingTong CEO Responds to Being “Kicked Over” by Robot: Not Staged, It Has Truly Evolved to This Level

Bot Telegraph, August 21 – At the 2026 World Robot Conference (WRC 2026), Zhao Tongyang, founder and CEO of Zhongqing Robotics, recalled the experience of being “kicked over” by his own T800 robot. He explained that the robot had already reached the corresponding technical level at the time, and the attempt was made to test its power limits. The video recorded the process of the robot kicking him away. Zhao Tongyang also introduced the development goals of Zhongqing Robotics, which is not only to create the ultimate body but also to develop an intelligent “brain.” He hopes that Zhongqing Robotics can achieve agile movements and responses similar to those in “Transformers,” and even possess the ability to adjust its posture while flipping in the air. The T800 is the result of ten years of technical accumulation by the Zhongqing Robotics team, developed by 150 engineers, with a starting price of 180,000 yuan. The robot has 29 degrees of freedom joints throughout its body, with an instantaneous peak power of 14,000 watts and a maximum torque of 450 Newton-meters, capable of executing high-power actions such as spinning kicks and flying kicks through wooden doors.
