Humanoid Robot 400m Preliminary Race Begins; Tiangong Team Wins Heat with 39.70 Seconds

Bot Telegraph, August 23rd – The 2nd World Humanoid Robot Games opened on the evening of August 22nd at the National Speed Skating Oval, known as the “Ice Ribbon,” in Beijing. This edition of the games introduced new competition events such as tug-of-war and table tennis. On the opening night, the track and field events for the 100-meter and 400-meter large-category races were held first. In the 400-meter large-category competition, the Tiangong team secured first place in the group with a time of 39.70 seconds, the Tianxiao team finished second with 40.14 seconds, and the Rongyao Shuangchi team placed third with 40.67 seconds.

Currently, multiple robotics companies are gradually advancing toward mass production, but the industry as a whole has not yet developed a complete supply chain. In other developments within the technology sector, Tencent Hunyuan has integrated its multimodal and large language model departments, while Amazon has upgraded its AI assistant, Alexa+.

It is important to note that the two surgical cases previously reported were not autonomously performed by humanoid robots.
