Guangdong: Industrial Robot and Integrated Circuit Output Grow 34.2% and 29.7% in First Half
Bot Telegraph July 23rd, according to data from the Guangdong Statistics official WeChat account, in the first half of the year, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size in Guangdong Province increased by 5.8% year-on-year, with the growth rate rising by 0.4 percentage points compared to the first quarter.
By sector, the added value of the mining industry grew by 8.8%, manufacturing by 5.4%, and the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas, and water by 8.9%.
By industry, the electronic information sector was the main pillar. The added value of the computer, communication, and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry grew by 11.6%, contributing 56.9% to the industrial enterprises above designated size. The automobile manufacturing industry grew by 9.9%; the production and supply of electricity and heat grew by 10.8%; equipment manufacturing grew rapidly, with the special-purpose equipment manufacturing and general equipment manufacturing industries increasing by 11.2% and 7.6%, respectively.
In the first half of the year, the added value of advanced manufacturing and high-tech manufacturing industries in the province grew by 7.0% and 8.2%, respectively, both higher than the overall growth rate of industrial enterprises above designated size in the province.
By product, the output of industrial robots increased by 34.2% year-on-year, integrated circuits by 29.7%, and new energy vehicles by 15.9%.
