Zhiyuan Robot Initiates Hong Kong IPO Process, Accelerating Capitalization for Embodied Intelligence Leader
General AI robotics company AGIBOT has announced that it has officially initiated the process for a Hong Kong IPO.
Founded in 2023 by former Huawei “genius youth” Peng Zhihui (Zhihui Jun), AGIBOT is headquartered in Shanghai and is one of the leading companies in China’s embodied intelligence sector. The company focuses on the research, development, and commercialization of general-purpose humanoid robots, with product lines including the Expedition A2 humanoid robot and the Spirit G1 industrial robot, among others.
On the capital front, AGIBOT has previously completed multiple rounds of financing, with investors including well-known institutions such as SAIC Motor, BAIC Group, and the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Industry Fund. In 2025, the company took control of the A-share listed company Shanghai Weixin New Materials, sparking widespread market attention to the capitalization paths of embodied intelligence enterprises.
The initiation of the Hong Kong IPO process marks a crucial step for AGIBOT in the capital market. Analysts point out that the Hong Kong stock market is more inclusive of technology companies, and recently, several robotics companies have announced plans for Hong Kong listings, indicating that the embodied intelligence sector is experiencing an IPO wave.
Notably, since 2026, leading robotics companies such as Unitree Robotics and Galaxy General have also frequently reported financing or listing plans, with the capital enthusiasm in the entire embodied intelligence sector continuing to rise. AGIBOT’s move may further accelerate the capitalization process of the industry.
