National Big Fund Makes First Move in Embodied Intelligence: Galaxy General Secures 2.5 Billion Yuan Funding
Bot Telegraph, July 25 – Galaxy General Robotics announced the completion of a 2.5 billion yuan A+ round of financing. Investors in this round include the National Artificial Intelligence Industry Investment Fund (Phase III of the National Big Fund), Sinopec, CITIC Group Investment Holdings, Bank of China, SAIC Motor Financial Holdings, Zhongxin Juyuan, and Yizhuang Guotou, among others. This also marks the first time the National Big Fund Phase III has invested in the embodied intelligence sector.
Following the financing, Galaxy General’s valuation stands at approximately 21 billion yuan, with cumulative financing ranking first in China’s embodied intelligence sector.
Founded in 2023, Galaxy General Robotics focuses on the research and development of general-purpose humanoid robots. The company is advancing projects such as the “Galaxy Star Brain” embodied large model and the “Galaxy Space Capsule” convenience store, and has entered the operational phase with over a hundred units deployed.
The National Big Fund Phase III’s investment in embodied intelligence is seen by the market as a significant signal of the sector’s transition from technological exploration to industrialization. Galaxy General stated that this round of financing will primarily be used to accelerate product development, expand production scale, and broaden application scenarios.
