China-ASEAN Medical Procurement Platform Facilitates Entry of Domestic Surgical Robots into Vietnamese Clinical Use
According to the National Healthcare Security Administration, the China-ASEAN Regional Pharmaceutical Procurement (Centralized Procurement) Platform recently assisted domestic surgical robots in successfully completing product registration and market approval in Vietnam. These robots have now entered several major medical institutions in the country for installation and clinical use. This milestone marks a critical breakthrough for large-scale Chinese medical equipment in the Vietnamese market, advancing from registration to clinical application.
The platform’s efforts have not only accelerated the overseas expansion of domestic high-end medical equipment but also laid a foundation for future cooperation. Currently, relevant domestic surgical robots have been put into use in several leading hospitals in Vietnam, beginning to serve local clinical diagnosis and treatment.
At the same time, this move will further promote comprehensive cooperation between China and Vietnam in the field of surgical robot technology. In the future, both sides plan to engage in deep collaboration across multiple areas, including technical training, clinical application promotion, academic exchanges, and talent development, to jointly enhance the medical technology level within the region.
