JD.com and Qiteng Robotics Forge Strategic Partnership

On July 30, JD.com and the special robot company Qiteng Robotics officially announced a strategic partnership. The two sides will focus on multiple scenarios, including energy and petrochemicals, coal mining, power infrastructure, emergency security, and rail transit, jointly promoting the large-scale deployment and market popularization of Qiteng Robotics’ full range of products.

Meanwhile, the trend of collaboration across the upstream and downstream of the robotics industry chain is becoming increasingly evident. Model manufacturers and chip manufacturers are gradually moving away from operating in isolation, shifting toward deeper cooperation and integration.

Blackstone Group recently agreed to invest in the South Korean robotics supplier Futronic, further demonstrating capital’s confidence in the growth potential of the robotics sector.

At recent industry events, exhibitors are no longer limited to showcasing product performance but are placing greater emphasis on presenting cutting-edge technological advancements such as embodied intelligence “brains.” Additionally, humanoid robot manufacturers are adopting an asset-light model, different from that of Chinese automotive companies and other manufacturing industries, when expanding into the European market, advancing their internationalization process in a more flexible manner.

Industry analysis points out that the robotics sector has been active recently, with core driving factors including better-than-expected first-quarter performance, resonance between domestic and overseas industries, and the effective digestion of high valuations through earlier market corrections.
