Beijing Yizhuang Releases City’s First “Token Economy” Special Policy

Bot Telegraph, August 7th – The Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area recently released the “Several Measures of the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area on Supporting the High-Quality Development of the Token-Driven Intelligent Economy (Trial),” abbreviated as the “Ten Token Measures.” This policy aims to promote the high-quality development of the intelligent economy through multi-dimensional support.

The policy specifies concrete measures across three levels: chips, models, and data. On the chip side, efforts will be intensified to support the research and development of inference-specific chips, and innovations in integrated circuit system-level architecture will be explored. On the model side, the focus is on accelerating the improvement of inference efficiency, promoting collaborative research and development between general-purpose models and industry-specific models, and enhancing edge-side inference efficiency. On the data side, the regulatory sandbox mechanism will be continuously deepened, encouraging data trading and circulation in key areas such as embodied intelligence, autonomous driving, and healthcare, while exploring data pricing models based on token transactions.

To establish a comprehensive support system for the construction of “Token Factories,” the policy stipulates that enterprises promoting batch token production will receive certain financial support. Additionally, the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area will continue to distribute 100 million yuan each in computing power vouchers and data vouchers annually.
