Pony.ai and Uber Expand Partnership to Deploy Over 2,000 Robotaxis Across 5 European Cities

Bot Telegraph August 14th report, according to Pony.ai, the company and global mobility platform Uber announced a further expansion of their strategic partnership. The two parties plan to deploy over 2,000 Pony.ai Robotaxis in 5 European cities.

This expansion will build upon the existing commercial operations in Zagreb, Croatia, with specific implementation plans to be announced in phases. Additionally, the Robotaxi service in Zagreb will soon be integrated into the Uber platform, allowing users to hail rides directly through the Uber App. Both parties noted that future competition in the Robotaxi sector will encompass multiple dimensions, including technological maturity, operational efficiency, ecosystem synergy, and commercialization capabilities.
