China Telecom Leads Funding Round as Mifeng Tech Secures Hundreds of Millions for Physical AI Data Platform
Bot Telegraph August 17th report – Recently, one-stop physical AI data service platform Mifeng Technology announced the completion of a new round of financing worth several hundred million yuan. This round was led by China Telecom, with Zhangjiang Group participating, and existing shareholders such as Sequoia China and Yuanqi Innovation making additional oversubscribed investments.
The raised funds will primarily be used to expand the mass production scale of the MEgo series of embodiment-free collection products, enhance full-stack capabilities in data collection, governance, and evaluation, and accelerate the realization of production capacity for tens of millions of hours of physical interaction data.
Established about half a year ago, Mifeng Technology has completed multiple consecutive financing rounds, with investors covering state-owned platforms, leading funds, and industry players. Mifeng Technology believes that for physical AI to achieve advanced reasoning and master physical laws, it must rely on large-scale, high-quality real interaction data. Compared to large language models, physical AI data has lower effective information density and higher noise, thus requiring larger volumes. To address this, the company has established a layout across the three aspects of collection, governance, and evaluation.
On the collection front, its self-developed MEgo series of embodiment-free collection products have achieved mass production and have been deployed in numerous real-world scenarios such as factories, logistics, supermarkets, and homes. These products are lightweight, capable of simultaneously collecting environmental perception and hand operation data, with trajectory accuracy reaching the millimeter level, aiming to achieve low-cost, large-scale data collection. At the same time, the company has built a layered data supply pyramid, covering various types including real-machine teleoperation.
On the data governance front, Mifeng Technology has launched the MEgo Engine platform, establishing an automated closed loop from preprocessing, spatial reconstruction, and multimodal annotation to quality evaluation, improving efficiency by more than tenfold. The self-developed VIO pose algorithm supports human-machine skill transfer, long-sequence action segmentation, and intelligent annotation, effectively reducing data processing costs.
On the evaluation front, the company has established a closed-loop iterative system, achieving continuous optimization through a data flywheel. In some scenarios, each data loop can drive a 5% to 10% increase in task success rate.
Currently, Mifeng Technology has established innovation centers in over 20 cities domestically, with more than 5 overseas nodes, and collaborates with companies like Ant Lingbo to provide training data for foundation models such as LingBot-VLA 2.0. In this financing round, China Telecom will leverage its advantages in cloud-network integration, computing power scheduling, scenario connectivity, and security compliance to jointly create a “cloud-network + embodied data” integrated solution with Mifeng. Targeting clients in humanoid robots, intelligent manufacturing, smart parks, and other sectors, they aim to promote the implementation of standardized data products and industry datasets.
