PwC: Overinvestment in Humanoid Robots May Lead to Industrial Resource Misallocation
Bot Telegraph, July 22nd – PwC China announced the establishment of an Artificial Intelligence Research Institute and simultaneously released its first batch of core research findings, the “2026 Intelligent Robotics Industry Development White Paper.” The white paper posits that the core value of humanoid robots lies in their unique application scenarios, rather than a comprehensive replacement of other forms. Over the next 3-4 years, a single humanoid robot form will not be able to meet the operational demands of all scenarios, and excessive investment could lead to misallocation of industrial resources and irrational development. By 2030, three categories of robots will form a stable landscape with clear division of labor and long-term coexistence.
