Jining, Shandong: Bringing Robots Into All Sectors
In midsummer, the hometown of Confucius and Mencius welcomed a conference that deeply integrates technology and industry. From July 11 to 13, the 2026 “Robot+” Innovation and Development Conference, co-hosted by the Shandong Robot Industry Association and the China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID), was held at the Zoucheng International Exhibition and Convention Center in Jining, Shandong. With the theme of “Us: Humans and Robots,” the conference gathered well-known domestic enterprises, experts and scholars, research institutes, and financial institutions to explore paths for industrial leapfrogging. It aims to accelerate the empowerment of various industries with robots and build a new industrial ecosystem of human-robot symbiosis and harmonious development.
Guided by scenarios and driven by applications, the goal is to bring robots into millions of households. This conference set up a vivid window for robots to integrate into social life through ten major application scenarios. A total of 165 industry-leading enterprises, including Unitree Robotics, Zhiyuan Robot, Luoshi Robotics, and others, gathered to showcase their latest achievements in fields such as family life, medical and health care, intelligent manufacturing, agricultural applications, emergency rescue, commercial logistics, smart education, and energy operations. From home service robots that can listen and act, to medical robotic arms that accurately assist in surgeries, to smart agricultural machinery galloping across fields—a future picture where robots are everywhere is slowly unfolding here.
At the opening ceremony, Yao Lei, Director of the Electronics Information Research Institute under the China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID), released the “2026 ‘Robot+’ Application Scenario Analysis Report,” systematically outlining the advantageous tracks and growth space of China’s robot industry. Executives from companies such as Beijing Galbot, Changmugu Medical, UBOT Intelligent Robotics, and Luoshi (Shandong) Robotics shared their latest R&D achievements and practical application cases based on industry practices, providing the industry with replicable and promotable practical experience.
With project signings and supply chain efforts, industrial development has accelerated. At the opening ceremony, a centralized signing ceremony for key projects integrating the “five chains” in Jining City was held, covering multiple dimensions such as industrial investment promotion and school-enterprise cooperation. This drives the deep integration of the industrial chain, innovation chain, capital chain, talent chain, and policy chain, injecting strong momentum into clustered, high-end, and large-scale development.
On the afternoon of the 11th, a supply and demand matchmaking event was held at the Zoucheng International Exhibition and Convention Center. Over a hundred representatives from robot companies, industry institutions, universities and research institutes, and financial institutions participated. Relevant departments, including the Jining Municipal Bureau of Commerce, made special presentations on industrial resources, computing power services, talent recruitment and cultivation, and financial products, providing comprehensive factor guarantees to empower the high-quality development of the robot industry.
