Fourier Launches Wheeled Dual-Arm Robot GRW with 4-Hour Battery Life
Recently, Fourier officially launched its first high-payload wheeled dual-arm robot, the GRW. This robot is designed for scenarios requiring high-payload human-robot collaboration, such as warehousing logistics, industrial manufacturing, and healthcare assistance. The GRW features a unique “long arm, narrow shoulder” structure, with overall dimensions of 720×618×1160-1650 mm and a weight of approximately 160 kg. Its shoulder width is controlled at 585 mm, and the entire body has 29 degrees of freedom (excluding the end effectors), enabling the robot to navigate flexibly through narrow spaces such as indoor corridors, office areas, or manufacturing workstations. In terms of core performance, the GRW is equipped with high-performance joint modules capable of a maximum torque of 500 N·m, achieving a stable payload capacity of up to 16 kg. The robot can operate for up to 4 hours on a single charge, and a single unit can handle various physically intensive tasks such as material handling, transfer assistance, and rehabilitation training. The maximum arm span of the dual arms reaches 1970 mm, covering a horizontal working radius of 895 mm and a vertical working range from 0 to 2 meters. This design fully meets diverse operational needs, ranging from low-level lifting and high-level picking and placing to cross-workstation collaboration.
